Lana and JoJami discuss feelings of being overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted when you have too much on your plate. Life can get crazy for all of us and the importance of a reboot is essential.
Lana’s design business has taken her all over the country to the point of exhaustion so JoJami and Lana decided to cut the shows to a bi-weekly schedule over the summer instead of their usual weekly show. This has given them time to finish the Ladies Road Map Journal. In Lana’s unavoidable absence, JoJami, as all good partners do, has kept the flame burning under their podcast this summer. JoJami shares how this helped her to face a very honest realization about herself. She confesses she has a difficult time finishing projects and staying focused. Growth can come when we are forced to look at ourselves but, especially, when we are not afraid to face our challenges head-on and honestly.
Here are a few tips to follow if you are feeling a sense of overwhelm:
- Figure out what “resets” you! Exercise, acupuncture, meditation, yoga, nature, a show, etc..
- Take a Pause, however short or long you can afford.
- Put a time limit on your project and push yourself to finish it quickly and efficiently.
- Put any systems which can work for you in place to free up time such as ScheduleOnce or get yourself a Virtual Assistant.
