Sometimes you just have to fake it ‘til you make it!
Fulbright scholar, world-renowned photographer, and publisher of 15 beautiful books on Architecture, Interior Design, and Gastronomy, Jill Paider tells it like it is. She shares stories of pushing through the fear, and the importance of not waiting to be perfect. Jill has traveled to more than 91 countries photographing some of the world’s greatest architecture. One of Jill’s latest books, Carry-on Only, Confessions from 100 Countries, a travel memoir, is a compilation of photos and stories from her experience as a solo traveler around the world. Also, can you believe she travels for months on end with only a carry-on?
Traveling in certain parts of the world as an unmarried woman can get very interesting at times. Jill describes very candidly how other people’s projections toward her as a single woman has made her question herself and her choices at times. She shares an authentic overview of many issues, but most importantly, how she navigated a complete pivot and reinvention from a career in world politics and finance to a successful career as a creative and photographer.
Jill is an avid journaler and shares how journaling and meditation are two of her daily practices. Check out her blog and new podcast as well, Travel in Style.
